The SPA Petrol Safety Passport runs in conjunction with UKPIA which plays its role to inform its member of proposed legislation and related developments, and to also help form and advocate the industry’s position. UKPIA is an authoritative source of information and reference on the UK downstream industry.

The Petrol Retail contractor safety passport training course covers such as fire sources, petrol forecourt hazards and safe work practices. Anyone who works on a petrol forecourt, transport fuel or come into contact with dangerous oils in their line of work require this type a Safety Passport.

This Petrol Retail safety passport training takes 2 days initially and is renewed every 3 years. The refresher course takes 1 Day and extends the validity of the holder’s existing passport by a further 3 years.

SPA/UKPIA – Petrol Retail Contractor Safety Passport Training

Forecourt Health and Safety for contractors working in and around a Petrol Station is a mandatory requirement for contractors going to work on most oil company and supermarket PFS sites. The SPA (Safety Pass Alliance) scheme represents an industry-approved sector-specific course resulting in successful delegates being awarded a Safety Passport Card valid for 3 years.

SPA/UKPIA (Refresher) – Petrol Retail Contractor Safety Passport – 1-day Renewal/Update Training

After 3-years of completing the SPA/UKPIA Safety Passport course all contractors are required to renew, refresh and update their knowledge on a 1-day Refresher course. The SPA (Safety Pass Alliance) scheme represents an industry-approved sector-specific course ; renewal of an existing Safety Passport card result in delegates being awarded an extension to their existing Safety Passport Card for a further 3 years (from the expiry date of their existing card).
